AFTERNET IKE — Last updated: November 2026

The following terms govern the provision of AI chatbot and AI voice agent services by AFTERNET IKE ("Afternet") to any business or organisation that commissions the creation and operation of such a system (the "Client"). Signing an engagement agreement with Afternet means unconditional acceptance of these terms.

What we undertake

Afternet undertakes the configuration, customisation and delivery of the AI Agent based on the requirements agreed at engagement. This includes building the knowledge base, connecting to the Client's systems where required, integrating it into the website or call centre and support during the launch period.

After delivery, Afternet provides technical support as part of the active subscription.

What the Client undertakes

The Client is solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy and currency of the information it provides for the Agent's knowledge base.
  • Informing Afternet promptly of any change to prices, procedures, contact details or any other information the Agent uses.
  • Informing end users that they are communicating with an automated AI system, not a person (see "AI disclosure obligation" below).
  • Using the service lawfully, in accordance with applicable law.

How the Agent works

The AI Agent draws information exclusively from the knowledge base approved by the Client and, where a connection exists, from the Client's systems in real time. That data remains in the Client's systems; Afternet does not store or process it.

Afternet is not liable for answers based on information that the Client's systems returned incorrectly or incompletely, even if the connection works normally from a technical point of view. Responsibility for the accuracy of data at source lies solely with the Client.

The Agent operates as a supporting customer-service tool. It does not issue binding offers, does not process payments and, whenever a decision is required, refers the matter to a human representative.

Acceptance of the deliverable

Before the Agent goes live, the Client may evaluate how it works and submit reasoned objections in writing. If no objections are submitted within 15 days of notification that setup is complete, the deliverable is deemed accepted.

After acceptance, behaviour issues that were apparent during the evaluation do not give rise to liability on Afternet's part.

The limits of AI technology

The AI Agent is based on natural language processing technology. Despite the quality measures we apply, no AI system can guarantee absolute accuracy in every answer; this is an inherent characteristic of the technology, not a defect of the service.

For this reason, the Agent should not be used as the sole source of information for critical decisions. Final responsibility for every decision always lies with a person.

AI disclosure obligation

Under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act), the Client, as the deployer of the system, must ensure that end users know they are communicating with an automated AI system and not a person.

Afternet builds an AI identity notice into the Agent (e.g. an opening message stating that it is a digital assistant) as a technical requirement of the system. Any modification or removal of this notice by the Client is solely the Client's responsibility.

Confidentiality

Afternet and the Client mutually undertake not to disclose to third parties commercially sensitive information obtained in the course of their cooperation, including pricing, technical solutions, business data and knowledge base content.

This obligation applies for the entire duration of the cooperation and for 3 years after it ends, regardless of the reason for termination. Information that is already publicly known, or whose disclosure is required by law, is excluded.

Data and privacy

Afternet does not store calls or conversations. Recordings and call logs are stored by the AI platform provider (Voice Logica) for up to 12 months.

The Client must inform end users that calls are recorded, in accordance with applicable data protection law (GDPR).

Afternet does not sell, share or commercially exploit end-user data.

Payments and subscriptions

Setup fees and monthly subscriptions are set out in the engagement agreement. Activation of the service requires payment of the agreed deposit.

If payment is more than 15 days late, Afternet reserves the right to suspend the service. All prices exclude VAT.

Duration and termination

The cooperation begins with the signing of the engagement agreement and lasts for the period set out in it. Either Party may terminate the cooperation with 30 days' written notice.

After termination, the Client has 30 days to export data concerning it.

Liability

Afternet makes every reasonable effort to ensure the quality of the service. However, it is not liable for:

  • Agent answers based on incorrect, incomplete or outdated information from the Client's systems or knowledge base.
  • Interruptions or changes by third-party technology providers beyond its control.
  • Indirect damage, loss of profit or loss of revenue.
  • Consequences of the Client failing to inform users that they are communicating with AI.

Afternet's total liability shall in no case exceed the amount paid by the Client during the last 3 months.

Changes to these terms

Afternet may amend these terms with 30 days' notice by email. Continued use of the service after that period means acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law. In any dispute, the Parties will make every effort to reach an amicable settlement. If this is not possible, the Courts of Athens have jurisdiction.
