API

Application Programming Interface: the way two systems talk to each other and exchange data automatically.

What it is An API defines which data one system can request from or send to another, and in what format. For example, the e-shop asks the ERP for a product's stock or sends it a new order.

Why it matters Without an API, data moves by hand or through files. With an API, systems stay in sync automatically and errors drop.

In practice Most modern systems (PrestaShop, WooCommerce, ERPs, payments, couriers, AI models) have APIs. Our job is to connect them correctly and securely.
