A file format for structured data, widely used for product catalogues, sitemaps and data exchange between systems.
What it is
XML organises data with tags, so both people and programs can read it easily. For example, each product has tags for code, title, price and stock.
Where you meet it
In supplier feeds, ERP and marketplace integrations, and the sitemap.xml that Google reads.
In practice
Supplier feeds rarely share the same structure. AfterFeeds reads them and merges them automatically.
